Finn Gibbons log:

Finn Gibbons

Finn Gibbons

High School: Garden City

Graduation Year: 2017

Position: Attack

College Choice: Binghamton University (ConnectLAX college profile)

Club Affiliations: GC’17 and 3d New England

Lacrosse Honors: 2014 Philly Fab 40 All-Star, 2014 Fab Frosh All-Star, 2014 Brine National Lacrosse All-Star, 2014 Jake Reed Nike Blue Chip, and Member of the 2014 3d Select National Championship Team

What will you major in/study? School of Management

Why did you choose Binghamton? “It was important to me to choose a school that would compete for a Conference Championship each year. Binghamton has consistently been near the top of the American East and Coach (Scott) Nelson has the reputation to continue that tradition. Binghamton also has a great academic reputation.”

Outlook for 2015 HS season? “We graduated some very talented players, but Coach Finnell always seems to figure out a way to win. We have 3 of the best defensemen in the country and the top face-off guy. With a lot of hard work, we should be fine.”

Thank You: “I would like to thank my parents for their support. I would also like to thank Coach Steve Finnell, Coach Tom Flatley and Coach Mugsy Walker at the Garden City High School for teaching me the game of lacrosse. I still have a lot to learn and I am excited to play for them for the next 3 years. I have enjoyed my time with my teammates on GC’17, 3d New England and Navy Midshipmen. Thank you to Coach Jenkins and Coach Goodrich at 3d New England. And a big thank you to my other coaches over the years including Coaches Blair, Michielini, Gormley and Kaffl.”

Other schools considered: Colgate University, Lafayette College and Boston University
