Ward Melville (N.Y.) 2015 goalie Olivia Gonzalves has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Villanova University.

Major lacrosse honors, camps and showcases: 2013 Brine National Lacrosse All-American, 2013 US Lacrosse U15 National Championship Tournament participant, December 2012 Duke Winter Elite Camp Champion.

What will you major in/study? Engineering

Why did you choose school?
“Villanova has a tradition of academic excellence and a strong athletic program. After meeting Head Coach Julie Young and Assistant Coach Caitlin Powderly I knew I wanted to be a Wildcat.”

Outlook for your High School team? “Ward Melville has a strong and experienced group of seniors with some very talented up and coming younger players. We are going to be a very tough opponent to play against and believe we have the ability to advance far into the playoffs.”
