The National 175 continues to pursue events that bring college coaches to view top players. National 175 is again hosting its successful fall showcases on Nov. 16 at Avon and Nov. 25 at Mitchell Athletic Park in Uniondale, Long Island.
This year directors are launching a Rising Stars event on Oct. 26 at the Hackley School in Westchester, N.Y., for current 7th and 8th graders as an introduction for future college showcases. This will feature a full day of clinics, strategy and skill sessions, and games run by the college coaches.
Planning to instruct is an impressive group of coaches from following schools, amongst others:
Franklin and Marshall College
University of Vermont
Coaches from the following prep schools will also be coaching:
Avon Old farms
The event will be held on two side-by-side turf fields at the Hackley School in Tarrytown. The focus on the event will be a combination of small group segments to improve shooting, stick-handling, dodging, defensive positioning, goal tending and off-ball play while also getting the opportunity to compete in full games.
This new event is limited to only 200 7th and 8th grade players. When the event fills, the link will simply deny you the ability to register.
Players attending will receive a showcase reversible.
