Emelio Sosa

High School: Detroit Country Day School, Michigan

Graduation Year: 2015

Position: Attack

College Choice: Kenyon College (ConnectLAX college profile)

Club Affiliation: Long Island Sting

Lacrosse Honors: 2014 State Champion, 2nd Team All-State, Good To Great All-Star Game, won MVP tournament at the University of Delaware

What will you major in/study? Undecided

Why did you choose Kenyon? “I chose Kenyon for it’s excellent Liberal Arts education and it’s spectacular facilities. Kenyon is only 3.5 hours from my home so my family and friends can support me throughout my college journey as well. Additionally, Coach (Doug) Misarti and the rest of the coaches have been amazingly supportive throughout the whole recruiting process.”

Outlook for your High School team? “Our team is moving up to the Division 1 level next year so we have a lot to prove coming off a strong season last year. Last season we ended with a State Championship victory, so we are now the ones to be beat. We are only loosing a couple of guys from last years team so we should come back better than ever.”

Other Comments: “I would like to thank my parents for all their support throughout the whole recruiting process. I would like to thank my high school coach Mike Cappelletti, club coach Ken Miller, and my old coach Jake Kenney. I would also like to thank all of my friends for their support and believing in me.”

Other schools considered: Connecticut College, Hamilton College, Middlebury College
