Manhasset High School 2016 midfielder Jack Miller has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Richmond University.
Jack Miller ledger:
High School: Manhasset High School
Graduation Year: 2016
College Choice: Richmond University
Club Affiliation: Long Island Express
Lacrosse Honors: Maverik Showtime All-Star Team
Showcases: Showtime, Blue Chip, Adrenaline Black Card
Academic Honors: High Honor Roll, Honors Society
What will you major in/study? Business
Why did you choose Richmond? “I felt that the University of Richmond was a great blend of academics and athletics. It has a great Business School, and has so much to offer, including going abroad in the summer as well as great opportunities for internships. Richmond also has a promising future in the world of lacrosse, after winning their Conference and having a birth in the NCAA tournament, in their first year.”
Thoughts on this past HS season/next season? “The past Varsity Season was the best lacrosse team I have ever played on. Everyone on our team was motivated, and the upperclassmen set a great example for myself and the other underclassmen. I also was able to play with my brother, Ryan Miller who was a senior, which was something we always talked about growing up. We were able to defeat Garden City in the Semi-Counties, which was a huge accomplishment for us. Unfortunately we fell short in the County Championship. We have a promising team for next season, and I believe we will be very successful.”
Thank You: “I would like to thank my Mom for all of the support, time, and money she has used to help me achieve my dream of playing Division 1 Lacrosse.
“I would also like to thank my Grandparents for all of their love and support.
“Also, I would like to thank my Varsity Coach Bill Cherry and my Express Coach Mike Chanenchuk, for everything they have taught me both on and off the field. I would also like to thank my PAL coaches from back in the day, Coach Corwin and Coach Garcia, for making Lacrosse very fun.”
Other schools considered: Cornell and Brown
