Baldwin 2015 defenseman Nicholas DeLuca has made a commitment to play Division II lacrosse at New York Institute of Technology (NYIT).

Lacrosse Honors: All-Conference, Baldwin High School; Nassau Team (Long Island Showcase) 3 years; All-Star 2014 Inside Lacrosse Invitational; Long Island Brine National Classic Team and Empire State Cup Long Island Team

Academic honors, service projects: National Honor Society and NSHSS (National Society of High School Scholars), Athletes helping Athletes at Baldwin

What will you major in/study? Pre-Med

Why did you choose NYIT? “I was looking for a school to fit me as a student and on the field. NYIT has a Pre-Med program, a winning lacrosse program and is close to home; it is the perfect fit for me. I am excited and looking forward to working with Coach (Bill) Dunn and the coaching staff in 2015.”

Thoughts on this past season/outlook for next season? “We had a tough season last year but we are very optimistic about this coming year. We have a team of guys with a lot of talent, we just have to work hard and work together as a team to reach our goal of making it to the playoffs. I am looking forward to this coming year!”
