Naval Academy (ConnectLAX college profile)

Club Affiliations: Patriot Elite, Outlaws

Major lacrosse honors: Suffolk Top 20, Lax Fest All Star team

National Junior Honor Society, and Language Honor Society

What will you major in/study? Undecided

Why did you choose the school? “I picked Navy because it had a good lacrosse program that I feel I’m a good fit for. I also like the great education it provides, and the opportunities it gives you after you graduate.”

Thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/team’s outlook for next season? “To me, last year’s lacrosse season was filled with ups and downs and ended very early in the playoffs. This year should be a very good year for Ward Melville because we have a lot of our best players returning for their senior year, and a strong junior and sophomore class to support them.”

Other comments: “I want to thank my family, mostly my mother and father for doing everything they did to get me to this point; if it was driving me to wherever I needed to go for lacrosse, or paying for me to play lacrosse and just supporting everything I do. I also want to thank my high school coaches this year: Coach Negus and Coach Muscarella, for giving me the opportunity to play with the varsity squad this year. I believe it really helped me develop as a player and get a feel for what I need to do as a player to compete and win at the varsity level. I also want to thank my summer league coach, Mike Zerbo, for training with me and giving helpful pointers on how to bring my game to the next level. I also want to thank Christian Mazzone, John Rowan, Mike Brennan, and John Black for coaching me. Finally I want to thank all my coaches from the three village youth lacrosse program (Dave Purdy, Brian McGinley, and my father, Ray McKenna), for coaching me and giving me all the advice that i needed to become the player I am today.”

Other schools considered? Lehigh, Cornell, Binghamton, Air Force
