TOWSON, Md. – Shayna Pirreca (Mt. Sinai, Florida) had three goals and two assists and earned MVP honors to lead the North to an 18-11 victory over the South Saturday night in the Under Armour Senior Girls’ All-American game at Towson University.

“It was so different from high school, there was such a quick pace,” said Pirreca. “We just tried to stay composed. We knew we had to stay strong.”UA lacrosse

Kenzie Kent (Noble & Greenough-MA, Boston College) scored four goals for the North and Isabella O’Connor (Notre Dame Academy-MA, Florida) added three goals and an assist while Madison Crutchfield (St. Paul’s-NH, Duke) had two goals, three groundballs and a caused turnover. Emily Stein (Darien-CT, Northwestern) added two goals.

North defender Hilary Lemonick (Harriton-PA, Cornell) said it was fun playing at this level.

“It’s a privilege to be around the best players,” she said. “All of us are just so competitive, but for this game in a fun and relaxed way.

“Everybody here is bigger, faster and stronger. It’s more of a physical game than anything we played in high school.”

For the South, Amanda Ignacio (Mount de Sales-MD, Georgetown) had three goals and two assists while Megan Whittle (McDonogh-MD, Maryland) and Shelby Scanlin (Cardinal Gibbons-NC, Maryland) each tallied two goals.
