New York girls’ state championship: @ManhassetGLax rallies past Victor, 11-7, for Class B title

CORTLAND, N.Y. – Manhasset outscored Victor, 6-0, in the second half and rallied for an 11-7 victory Saturday in the New York Class B girls’ lacrosse state championship at Cortland State.

Julia Glynn (four goals, three assists) scored the tying goal with 18:49 remaining on a free position shot and fed Lindsey Ronbeck (two goals, one assist) got the game winner on an assist from Glynn with 17:51 left.

Section 8 champion Manhasset, ranked No. 4 by Brine/TopLaxRecruits, finished 19-1. Victor, the Section 5 champion, closed 19-3.

Kathryn Hallett had three goals for Manhasset and Erin Barry added a pair.

Megan Maloney led Victor with three goals and an assist and Hannah Savage scored three goals.
