High School: Sachem East High School

Graduation Year: 2016

Position: Defense / Midfield

College Choice: University of Florida

Club Affiliation: L.I. Yellow Jackets 2016 Blue

Major lacrosse honors: US Lacrosse U-15 National Championship All-Tournament team (defense) 2013
Varsity since 8th grade, All-County 8th and 9th grade. US Lacrosse Women’s National Tournament, LI Metro Team I 2013, Under Armour All-American Lacrosse, uncommitted games. Presidents Cup, LAX for the Cure, and National Draw

What will you major in/study? Biology

Why did you choose Florida? “UF had everything I was looking for – strong academics, especially in math and science, Top 5 Div. I lax program, beautiful campus, unbelievable student-athlete resources, state of the art facilities, and the coaches and players are amazing. I visited a number of great Div. I schools, but my heart and head told me Florida was it.”

Outlook for your High School team? “We just started winter speed and agility training and wall ball. We play in highly competitive Suffolk Div. I. We are ranked 6 out of 22 teams in the pre-season coaches poll. We can run with anyone but we lack depth. If we stay healthy and some underclassmen step up their games I think we’ll make playoffs for a 4th straight year. One game at a time.”

Thank You: “I want to thank my parents for all their support and my Yellow Jackets coaches – Coaches Rose and Defo, along with my varsity coach, Coach Bourgal for giving me opportunities and helping me become the lacrosse player that I am. I also want to give my sister Katie a shout-out, we play on the same midfield line at Sachem. She is a senior and she is going to play field hockey at the University of Michigan next fall, so this will be our last lacrosse and organized sport playing together. She is amazing athlete and my hero.”
