What will you major in/study? “I either want to be a Biomedical Engineer or a Trauma Surgeon.”
Why did you choose UVA? “UVA is an amazing school, academically and athletically. I fell in love with Coaches (Julie) Myers’, (Colleen) Shearer’s, and (Jessy) Morgan’s passion and determination. As soon as I met them, saw the campus, and spoke with some of the current lacrosse players, I knew I belonged there.”
Outlook for your High School team? “We hope to defend our CHSAA Championship and to better our #2 National ranking.”
Thank You: “I would love to thank my incredible family for supporting me and putting up with me throughout this process. A special thank you to Coach Carol Rose who challenged me to be my best, was still there for me when I wasn’t and who was absolutely instrumental in helping me navigate my way through the recruiting process; and above all told me “to relax and enjoy it”!
“Thank you also to Coach Corinne Lomangino, who introduced me to St. Anthony’s amazing program and gave me the confidence to be successful.
“A monster fist pump to Coach Defo for encouraging me to venture out of the crease and teaching me to play free safety. A huge thanks to my trainers Kristen Hordy, Dwayne Johnson, Institute 3E and Pete Mitchell – who just plain rock.
“Last, but not least, I want to thank my YJ and St. Anthony’s teammates who are some of the most talented yet humble people I know.”
Other schools considered: Princeton, Florida, Duke, USC, Towson, Stanford, Navy
