What will you major in/study? Undecided

Why did you choose Duke? “I was fortunate to have a number of offers from schools that I was interested in. All the schools were great and I felt I couldn’t make a bad choice. Attending a strong academic school was very important to me. Duke University offered me the best balance between academics, athletics and campus life. The coaches and players are very friendly and they made me feel comfortable right away. Duke’s strong alumni network and school spirit made my decision an easy one.”

Outlook for your High School team? “Despite losing so many starters to graduation, I’m very excited about next year’s team. I feel we have a good balance of senior leadership and talent to be a threat to anyone we play.

“Last year ended with a disappointing lose in the County Final. That loss has taught us that we can’t take anything for granted and serves as a reminder that we have to work hard and get better all the time if we are to accomplish our goal of winning a State Championship.”

Additional Comments: “I would like to thank all my coaches and teammates who have been by my side since the beginning. I would like to extend special thanks to my High School coach Bill Cherry and club coach Mike Chanenchuk for their support and guidance throughout the recruiting process.

“Last but not least, I would like to thank my parents for the endless sacrifices they have made so I could play lacrosse, and my brother for always being there for me. Without their love and support, none of this would have been possible.”
