With one week left in the regular season, The Final Four field has been determined for Championship Weekend in Major League Lacrosse Aug. 24-25 at PPL Park in Chester, just outside Philadelphia.
The Denver Outlaws (13-0), Hamilton Nationals (9-4), Chesapeake Bayhawks (8-5) and Charlotte Hounds (7-6) will plat at PPL Park. Tickets for the two-day event are available via Major League Lacrosse’s Championship Weekend web page.
The Outlaws (13-0) remained perfect with a 13-10 win over the New York Lizards on Sunday, led by a six-point performance from Player of the Game Chris Bocklet. Denver has the No. 1 seed and will play in the first semifinal on Saturday, August 24 at 1:00 p.m.
The Nationals seek to clinch the No. 2 seed this weekend against Denver on Saturday. A Hamilton win or a Chesapeake loss would give the Nationals the second seed.
The defending champion Bayhawks defeated the Rochester Rattlers, 12-9, Saturday night and seek to clinch a middle seed in the semifinals. They must defeat the Hounds on Saturday and hope for a Nationals loss to earn the No. 2 spot. If the Bayhawks lose, they will drop to fourth place in the standings and face the Outlaws in the first semifinal game.
The Hounds won their third straight and clinched a post season berth in only their second year of existence by defeating the Nationals, 14-11, on Saturday night. They can take the No. 3 seed by defeating the Bayhawks Saturday.
