Boys’ recruit: Tottenville 2014 defenseman Becerra commits to Eastern

Tottenville High School (NY) rising senior defenseman Alexander Becerra has made a commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Eastern University.

Graduation Year: 2014

Position: Defense

College Choice: Eastern University

Club Affiliation: 2 Knights Lacrosse Sentry Elite

Major lacrosse honors, camps and showcases: Brine National All-American, Conference All-American, 2 Year Staten Island Advance All-Star, 2 Year First Team NYC

What will you major in/study? Physical Therapy, Sports Medicine

Why did you choose Eastern? “I chose Eastern because it gives me the best opportunities both academically and athletically.”

Outlook for your High School team next season? “We look very strong. We are going to be a team of mostly seniors. This gives us a lot of experience as players, and as a team. I look forward to playing in the new season.”

Additional Comments: “I would Like to thank my parents, Dawn Becerra and Juan Becerra, for everything they have done. They have helped me so much, and have motivated me to move forward. I would Also like to thank all my coaches who have taught me so much, and have helped me improve not only as a player, but as a man.”
