Boys’ recruit: Hofstra gets commitment from St. Joe’s Prep (PA) sophomore midfielder-FO Liszka

St. Joseph’s Preparatory School (PA) sophomore midfielder-faceoff Jace Liszka has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Hofstra University.

Position: Midfield/Faceoff

College Choice: Hofstra

Club Affiliation: Duke’s Lacrosse Club

Major lacrosse honors: Philly Showcase and Philly Showcase Camp All-Star team. Big Four All-Star Team and Dukes 2 as a freshman.

Academic honors: Honor Roll

What will you major in/study? Undecided

Why did you choose Hofstra? “The campus is exactly what I was looking for, and since lacrosse is the main sport on campus the lacrosse facilities are outstanding. Also the Hofstra Coaches are great Coaches, and I know I will learn a lot from them. I just knew it was the place for me when I was on campus.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for the season? “We have many great players on the team and with the great Coaches that we have, we know we will make it very far this season.”

Additional comments: “I would like to thank my family for their support during the process. Also I would like to thank Coach Helm, Coach Gregg, Coach Christmas and Coach Dolente for teaching me most of what gives me success on the field today.”
