Boys’ recruit: Rocky Point junior goalie Dallon commits to St. Joseph’s University

Rocky Point junior goalie Patrick Dallon has made a commitment to play Division I lacrosse at St. Joseph’s University.

Major lacrosse honors: All-Star Team Camp 205; Champ Camp 2011, 2012; Dick’s Sporting Goods National Lacrosse Championship Team

What will you major in/study? Business

Why did you choose St. Joe’s? “I chose St. Joseph’s because of its great academic program and coaching staff. The coaches and players made me feel very welcome and excited to play on a competitive team. St. Joseph’s has a great future in Division I lacrosse and I am proud to call myself a Hawk.”

Outlook for your High School team? “This year, our team is working hard to make the playoffs and advance ourselves to the Counties. I look forward to having a competitive season on the field.”

Additional comments: “I would like to thank my high school coach, Mike Bowler, as well as my Team Long Island coaches, Mike Gongas and Scott Reh. These coaches are some of the most dedicated men in the sport. Their encouragement and support have helped me tremendously throughout the recruiting process. My skill and success as a goalie is because of them.

“I would also like to thank my trainer, Antonio Masone. His instruction throughout the years has been invaluable.

“Lastly, I would like to thank my parents, Their patience, support and dedication has contributed greatly to my success both on and off the field.”

other schools I was considering were Dartmouth, Lehigh and Sacred Heart.
