The Hofstra Pride Men’s Lacrosse team has been ranked 19th by Lacrosse Magazine in its 2013 Division I Preseason Poll, US Lacrosse announced Tuesday.

The Pride, who begin their 2013 season on Saturday, February 16 at James M. Leading Hofstra is their top two scorers in senior midfielder Adrian Sorichetti, who tallied 24 goals and a team-high 14 assists in 12 games, and junior attackman Lance Yapor, who posted a team-high 25 goals and 10 assists in 14 games last season. The Pride also return all three starting defenders in graduate-students Mark Mullen and Michael Hamilton and senior Cody Solaja.

Hofstra will play preseason scrimmages against Holy Cross and host Syracuse at the Carrier Dome on Saturday, January 26 and will host Marquette and Penn at Shuart Stadium on Saturday, February 9 before the season opener a week later.
