Manhasset senior attack-midfielder Michael Fahey has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Williams College.

Michael Fahey log:

High School: Manhasset High School

Graduation Year: 2013

Position: Attack/Midfield

College Choice: Williams College

Club Affiliation: LI Sting

Major lacrosse honors: LI Under Armour tryouts, Tristate, Brine Shootout

Academic honors:
Member of the National, Math, English, and Science Honor Societies, High Honor Roll every year

Expected major: Undecided

Why did you choose Williams?
“Williams was an easy choice for me because it offered everything that I wanted. The ability to play in an ultra-competitive conference (NESCAC) and to receive what is widely regarded as one of the top liberal arts educations in the country was simply not available elsewhere. Furthermore, the Williams community was more than welcoming and the environment as a whole looks to be one that I could thrive in.”

HS team’s outlook for 2013: “Next year’s team is definitely going to fly under the radar a little bit as we graduated some of the best players in the nation. However, I think we still have the talent to be playing in June. Once we start figuring out new roles for certain guys and really begin buying into the team game plan I expect that we will be successful.”

Other comments: Thanks again to all those who have influenced my game including, but not limited to, my father and all my coaches.”
