Mahopac senior attackman Ross Thompson has made a verbal commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Connecticut College.

Major lacrosse honors: Leading Scorer on team as a junior, All-Section, All-League, Journal News Section 1 Honorable Mention. Attended Good to Great Showcase, National Invitational 175, Elite 180, and Peak 200 over a course of 2 summers.
Academic Honors/Service Projects: Honor Roll all four years of high school, Youth Court community service program.
What will you major in/study? Undecided
Why did you choose Connecticut? “Academics, Connecticut College is an extremely strong academic school and I believe Coach (Dave) Cornell really has things moving forward with the lacrosse program.”
What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “I believe we have a strong group of guys this year that are going to work well for one common goal, winning a Section Championship. We have one of the most athletic long stick middies in the section in Brendan Hynes and a pure finisher in Tyler Weisberg. Our preparation, hard work, and senior leadership in practice will carry onto the field in the games.”
Additional Comments: “I would like to thank my brother Chase Thompson and the Rabidou twins for teaching me basically all I know about lacrosse.”
