Eastport South Manor senior attack Blair Rosenberg has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at St. Francis University.

Blair Rosenberg log:

Blair Rosenberg (#21)

High School: Eastport South Manor

Graduation Year: 2013

Position: Attack

College Choice: St. Francis University

Club Affiliation: Yellow Jackets

Major lacrosse honors: County Championship 2012, Varsity player since the end of 9th grade

Academic Honors: Principals Honor Roll, Honor Roll, National French Honor Society, Honors classes

What will you major in/study? Education

Why did you choose St. Francis? “St Francis has such a great feel to it. Coach Gregg Gebhard made me feel right at home when I went to visit. It is perfect fit for me. I love the size and it’s a great campus. I look forward to attending St Francis, it will be a terrific change.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “We are the defending County champs and have big shoes to fill. Hopefully I’ll be able to help lead my team to another County Championship this season as well. We have a lot to look forward to.”

Other schools considered: Temple University, Iona College, Boston University

Additional Comments: “I would love to thank my parents because they have been a huge part of my lacrosse career. Without them, I wouldn’t be the player I am today. Between running me around to practices, and pushing me to my full potential, I couldn’t have asked for more help from them.

“I would also like to thank my Yellow Jackets coaches Tom Carro, and Tony DellaRocca. They have always been there for me and I have spent many summers with them at tournaments. It has been great having them as my coaches and I want to thank them for being great role models.”
