Girls’ recruit: Eastport-South Manor junior midfielder Wasilko commits to UVA

Eastport-South Manor junior midfielder Jacqueline Wasilko has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Virginia.

Long Island Top Guns Camp;
UVA Lacrosse Camp

Academic Honors: Scholar Athlete, College Level Spanish, Honors English

What will you major in/study? Pre-Med

Why did you choose UVA? “When I went to the camp at UVA I had the opportunity to meet the coaches and players and loved the camaraderie of the team. I am very excited and looking forward to being a part of the team in 2014.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “We have a strong team and I am looking forward to a great season.”

Other schools considered: USC, Ohio State, Duke

Additional Comments: “I would like to thank my team, Long Island Top Guns and Shannon, Bill, and Andrew Smith for believing in me and pushing me to always improve my game. Shannon, your my inspiration, I hope to one day achieve your level of success.
