Sachem North senior attackman Nicholas Haiduk has committed to play Division II lacrosse at NYIT.

Major lacrosse honors: “I was invited to Blue Chip but I was injured and could not attend.”

What will you major in/study? Business
Why did you choose NYIT? “I felt like it was home. My brother loved the school and lacrosse program there. Coach (Bill) Dunn is a great Coach and I am excited to work with him.”
What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “We work hard as a team and look forward to future success. Every year we make our goal the State Championship. Our team has the talent to do it and we believe in this program. We are just taking one step at a time.”
Other schools considered? “I considered Eastern and other schools but I never visited. I only visited NYIT, it has been my dream school since 2008 when my brother started playing there.”
Additional Comments: “I would like to thank my family for always supporting me. Even when I was injured they helped me get back to 100%. My Coaches for pushing me and making me the best I can be. My brother was a great role model and I thank him for that. I plan to follow similar footsteps to his.”
