Boys’ recruit: MacArthur junior attackman McAndrew commits to Binghamton

MacArthur junior attackman Thomas McAndrew has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Binghamton University.

College choice: Binghamton University

Club affiliation: Long Island Express

Major lacrosse honors: All-Conference freshman and sophomore year, Team Nassau Rising sophomore and junior teams for Long Island Showcase

Academic honors: National Honor Society and Foreign Language Honor Society

What will you major in/study? Undecided

Why did you choose Binghamton? “Coach (Scott) Nelson and staff made me feel very comfortable on my visit. Binghamton has a great reputation academically so I know I will receive an excellent education. The lacrosse program is on the rise and I feel I will be able to contribute to its success in the future.”

What is your H.S. team outlook for next season? “MacArthur has high expectations for this upcoming season. We return 8 starters from a playoff team last year and believe we can compete for a County Championship this year.”

Other schools considered: Rutgers, Fairfield and High Point
