St. Anthony’s rising senior midfield-attackman Jordan Lefranc has committed to play Division I lacrosse at Siena College.

Jordan Lefranc log:

Jordan Lefranc

High School: St. Anthony’s

Graduation Year: 2013

Position: Midfield/Attack

College Choice: Siena

Club affiliation: Long Island Express

Major lacrosse honors: Jake Reed Nike Blue Chip and several elite tournaments with Long Island Express.

What will you major in/study? Marketing

Why did you choose Siena? “Siena has always been a school I have been interested in. When Coach (John) Svec contacted me I couldn’t help but to respond as soon as possible. When I went on my visit Coach Svec, Coach (Drew) Kelleher and Coach (Dan) Mckeon really made me and my family feel welcomed. I loved the campus and all it had to offer. I knew when I left campus, that Siena was the school I wanted to attend.”

Outlook for your High School team next season? “After coming off of a successful year and winning our fourth straight Catholic League title our main goal for next year is to repeat. We all want to end our senior year with another Catholic Championship.

“We are going to have a high powered offense that will be able to put up productive numbers and a strong defense that will be led by one of our Captains, Navy bound, Michael Strack. A fifth straight Catholic title is our main goal for our senior year but finishing the year with a perfect season will be a great way to end my high school career at St. Anthony’s.”

Additional Comments: “I would like to start off and thank my parents Eric Lefranc and Kim Burrell-Lefranc for providing me with the opportunity to play at a great high school and with an excellent summer club.

“The recruiting process has been a hectic experience but both my parents were able to help me and guide me in the right direction. My dad was a huge factor in this decision. He was the first person to put the lacrosse stick into my hand and has been coaching me since the age of 5. Without his coaching none of this would of been possible.

“Also I would like to thank all of the coaches I have had in the past that have helped me get to this point. Coach Depalma, Coach Cascio, Coach Baccarella, Coach Maloney, Coach Chanenchuck, Coach Wieczorek, Coach Allen and Coach Schreiber.”
