Final LILacrosseNews.com Boys’ Rankings: Undefeated Garden City is No. 1

In the final LILacrosse News top 10 rankings of the season the top four teams won state championships.

Top ranked Garden City completed its run of an undefeated season with an 11-5 triumph over Irondequoit in the Class B title game on June 9.

No. 2 West Islip finished off a year with a Class A state crown defeating, Ithaca, 12-7. The Lions lost only to Chaminade in their third game of the season on March 31.

After much consideration, St. Anthony’s finished in the third spot, though, Shoreham-Wading River won two more games. The Friars upended Catholic League rival Chaminade in the Long Island and state championship game. The Flyers were highly ranked all season long.

The S-WR Wildcats are No. 4 after downing Penn Yan, 10-6, for the state’s Class C crown on June 9.
