Once again the results of playoff games have sent teams in this week’s LILacrosse News top 10 rankings into different positions. Syosset knocking off Massapequa in the Nassau Class A title game and the strong end of season showing by Cold Spring Harbor catapulted those teams into the top 10.

Garden City, considered the best squad in the nation, retains its top ranking and after winning the Long Island Class B title will play Yorktown (16-4) in the state B semifinal.

No. 2 West Islip fresh from winning its ninth consecutive Suffolk crown and the Class A Long Island Championship will face Niskayuna (20-1) in a state Class A semifinal.

Shoreham-Wading River, up to No. 5 from No. 9, will match up against Bronxville (20-1) in a state Class C semifinal.

All games are on Wednesday at Hofstra.
