Registration is now open for the Lehigh Valley Showcases, being run by Lehigh’s men’s lacrosse program.
The showcases will feature 150 participants at each camp on Lehigh’s Goodman athletic campus. Campers will stay in the Lehigh dorms on ASA Packer campus. They will compete in instructional combine, advanced training and games.
Seminars will be held on recruiting, academics, leadership and character building. The all-star game culminates it all; on the final day of each camp after the camp championship the best camp players will compete against each other.
The prospective student-athletes will play in at least six games during the showcase. Each person will be able to take footage home courtesy of Tucker sport films and also take with them their strength, speed and agility numbers which they will be able to use in their recruiting profile.
The camp will be co-directed by 2012 NCAA championships participant, Patriot League Champion and Coach of the year, Lehigh University coach, Kevin Cassese (member of US National team and Comsewogue graduate) and his assistants Brendan Callahan, Errol Wilson, and Tom Compitello. On staff will be Lehigh players, other college coaches (Division I, II and III) and college players.

Coach Callahan, said, “the purpose of the showcase is to help prospective student-athletes gain visibility within recruiting, while educating them as players and as people. This showcase is good for young men interested in Lehigh and other colleges; for example, last summer we had coaches in attendance from schools like Loyola, Georgetown, Penn State, Dickinson, Haverford, Washington College and etc. It was a chance to be seen by some of the best around the country. They will get skills training and go to excellent seminars, at the end of the day, they’ll have something to takeaway from the three days and use in their recruiting process.”
