NJCAA men’s championship: Nassau County CC falls to Onondoga, 15-6

Onondaga Community College captured its fourth straight NJCAA title and sixth in seven years Sunday afternoon, downing host Nassau Community Colleg, 15-6.

OCC had 11 different goal scorers. Attackmen Ryan Staats and Jordan Saunderson each scored three.

NCC (13-4) trailed just 5-4 after one quarter, but the Lazers (16-0) went on a 10-2 tear to seize complete control.

Hofstra-bound goalie Eddie Collins was a standout for Nassau CC with 16 saves. Glen Tompkins had a goal and two assist.

OCC is the first team to win four straight NJCAA championships since Nassau CC won four from 1999-2002.
