Saturday’s girls’ high school highlights: Bay Shore, Wantagh, Garden City, Cold Spring Harbor, Massapequa earn wins

Caroline deLyra had five goals and three assists and Kyra Harney scored four goals as Bay Shore defeated Shoreham-Wading River, 14-5, Saturday in the in the Long Island Challenge at Farmingdale.

Bay Shore imporoved to 14-1.

Katie Boden led Shoreham-Wading River (10-3) with four goals.

Wantagh 12, Northport 11

Colleen Lovett (two goals) scored the game-winner with 2:18 left in the first overtime for Wantagh (9-5) in the Long Island Challenge. Catie Ingrilli and Kaleigh Craig each scored four goals for the winners.

Cortney Fortunato had three goals for Northport (9-4).

Garden City 18. Mt. Sinai 12

Catherine Dickinson scored five goals and Alexandra Bruno had four goals and two assists for Garden City (10-4) in the Long Island Challenge.

Danielle DellaRocca scored four goals for Mt. Sinai.

Cold Spring Harbor 9, Half Hollow Hills 5

Victoria Kotowski pumped in seven goals to lead Cold Spring Harbor (9-2) in the Long Island Challenge.

Half Hollow Hills got three goals from Cara Pascarella.


Massapequa 13, North Shore 10

Kelsey O’Brien had five goals and one assist and Maddy Pimental added three goals and two assists to lead Massapequa (13-1) in non-league.

Amanda Johansen had five goals and an assist for North Shore.
