Tri-State Lacrossetoday announced that it has added a U9 A/B bracket to its nationally recognized Tri-State National Summer Lacrosse Festival. This year’s tournament will take place on July 6 – 8th on the fields at Mercer County Park just outside of Princeton, NJ.

“It is truly amazing to see the level of talent competing at our tournament each year across all of the age brackets,” said Bob Turco, founder of Tri-State Lacrosse and US Lacrosse New Jersey Hall of Fame coach. “Given the explosive growth our sport has experienced in recent years we felt it was only right to give kids at the U9 level a stage on which they can showcase their talent and compete against the best teams in the country.”

Now in its 12th year, the Tri-State National Summer Lacrosse Festival continues to attract premier high school and youth summer lacrosse teams from across the country and even from as far away as Northern California. In 2011, over 300 teams competed in 20 brackets. The tournament offers recruiting brackets for Rising Sophomore, Junior and Senior’s and youth brackets for U15 to now U9. Each team plays a minimum of six games over a three-day period which include five seeding games and a playoff game.
