Despite dropping two games over the weekend to Baltimore powers McDonogh and Bryn Mawr at the Maryland-New York Challenge, Garden City (7-2) held onto the No. 1 spot in the Girls’ Rankings.

The Trojans saw their 55-game win streak snapped in Saturday’s 20-9 loss to McDonogh and then fell to Bryn Mawr, 8-3, on Synday. St. Anthony’s (6-1) also suffered their first loss of the season to Bryn Mawr, 15-7, and then rebounded to down John Carroll, 13-3.

Hauppauge (9-1) beat St. Paul’s, 15-9, but then lost to McDonogh, 14-1.

Shoreham Wading River (5-2) suffered two back to back losses dropping it out of the top ten while making room for Massapequa (8-1), which is undefeated in conference play. Ward Melville (10-0) managed to defeat Bay Shore (8-1) and Northport (7-2), moving it in the rankings . Sacred Heart (10-0) continues to play strong.

Key games to look out for this week are St. Anthony’s at Sacred Heart on Wednesday, Bay Shore at Northport on Friday and the game of the season: St. Anthony’s at Garden City on Saturday.
