Girls’ lacrosse: St. Anthony’s earns 13-3 victory at Maryland-New York Challenge; Garden City, Hauppauge fall

Annie Heagerty had three goals and one assists and Darcy Messina scored three goals to lead St. Anthony’s to a 13-3 victory today over John Carroll (Md.) in the second day of action at the Maryland-New York Challenge at St. Paul’s School.

Tori Holland made 13 saves for St. Anthony’s (7-1), which rebounded from a 15-7 loss to Bryn Mawr on Saturday.

Maggie Bill and Alexis Nicola each added a goal and an assist for the Friars.

Erica Bott scored twice for John Carroll (5-7).

Also Sunday, Hauppauge suffered a 14-1 loss to McDonogh School and Garden City fell to Bryn Mawr. Meanwhile, Upstate’s West Genesee toppled St. Paul’s, 13-10.
