Syosset senior defense-midfield Dominique Compito has committed to play Division I lacrosse at Quinnipiac University.

Club Affiliation: Long Island Yellow Jackets

Major lacrosse honors: High School Captain and 2x All-Conference, All-Star Galaxy Champ, 2011 Womens Division National Tournament Team

Academic honors, service projects: AP Calculus, AP Biology, Precision Sports Physical Therapy Volunteer (Syosset HS Community Health Course), Member of the Nassau County Police Explorer Program, Syosset Youth Lacrosse Organization Coach/Volunteer

What will you major in/study? Athletic Training/Sports Medicine

Why did you choose Quinnipiac? “I choose Quinnipiac University because of the educational opportunities it offers me now and in the future. I feel QU is the best place for me to be successful in the classroom and on the lacrosse field.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for the season? “We will be right there in a very competitive Nassau County Conference ‘1’. Our goal is the same as all the other teams, to win the conference and go on to the county championship!”
