Ryan Monahan (#12)

Graduation Year: 2013

Position: Defense/LSM

What will you major in/study? Engineering

Why did you choose Manhattan? “After sitting with Coach Mac (Tim MacIntee) and talking about Manhattan I realized that I wanted to be part of the team. The academic reputation of the engineering program there is high, and I liked the location of campus in the city.

The college is also adding a new building in 2014 with new weight and locker rooms. The guys on the team were very welcoming and treated me as if I was already part of the team. The team looks to have a promising future and was something I wanted to join.”

Outlook for your High School team? “Our High school team looks like we will be solid this season. We return most of our starters, and almost all players have experience. Our new Coaches Brian and Scott Loftus, along with Vic Morrow show enthusiasm and bring a lot of new energy to the team.”

Additional Comments: “I’d like to thank my parents for helping me through this whole process; I could not have done any of this without them and I am very thankful. I would also like to thank my teammates and friends for support. Along with them my coaches Darryl Delia, John Basti, John Sussingham, and Tom Mariano for their help and insight on the recruiting process.”
