The Skyline Conference announced that Maritime senior midfielder Catherine Brady (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North) was named to the conference’s weekly honor roll for women’s lacrosse. This comes after Brady helped lead the Privateers to a 19-9 win over St. Joseph-Conn. on Friday.
Brady recorded six points for the Privateers with five goals and one assists. She also contributed with a game-high 16 draw controls, one ground ball, one caused turnover and was 3-for-3 on free-position attempts.
The Suffolk County native currently ranks second in the Skyline with 9.00 draw controls per game. Her 6.50 shots per game is good for seventh, while her 3.00 goals per game ties her for eighth. Also ranking among the conference best is senior Kristen Saporito (Rocky Point, N.Y./Rocky Point), whose 6.00 goals per game and 6.50 points per game both rank first among all Skyline players. Saporito is also first in shots per game (10.00), third in caused turnovers per game (2.00) and fourth in groundballs per game (4.00).

Brady, Saporito and the rest of the Maritime women’s lacrosse team are back in action on Thursday, March 22, when they open up Skyline Conference action against St. Joseph’s of Long Island. First draw between the Privateers and Golden Eagles is set for 7 p.m. at Reinhart Field.
