Women’s recruit: Riverhead junior midfield-attack Dorr commits to St. Francis

Riverhead junior midfield-attack Sabina Dorr has committed to play Division I lacrosse at St. Francis University.

What will you major in/study?
 “I plan to enroll in the Physician Assistant Science Program with a minor in Communications.”

Why did you choose St. Francis? “I chose St. Francis because I felt like it was the perfect fit. When I visited the campus I felt like I was part of the St. Francis family. Coach (Gregg) Gebhard, Coach (Kerrin) Fraser and the athletic administration were very supportive and welcoming. I know it is a school that provides great support for student success on and off the field.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for the season? “Riverhead is a fairly new lacrosse program. I look forward to working together as a team to improve each game and strive for a winning season. Coach D’Alsace is a great coach who works with us in every part of practice. He even runs with us. He has really been working hard to build the program.”

Additional comments: “I would like to thank all of my coaches who set high expectations and supported me in becoming the player I am today. I would like to thank my Yellow Jackets teammates and coaches for their dedication. The training that Tom Carro, Tony DellaRoca, Alexis Curcio and Carol Rose provided has really helped me develop into the player I am today. Most importantly I would like to thank my family for always supporting me throughout my lacrosse career.”
