Jon Reese log:

Jon Reese

High School: West Islip

Graduation Year: 2012

Position: Midfield

College Choice: Yale

Major Lacrosse Honors: Wiz Kids Camp All-Star Team, Top-20 player at Battle of the HotBeds by ESPN High School Lacrosse.

Academic Honors: National Honor Society, Principals List, International Baccalaureate Diploma Candidate, President of the Future Business Leaders of America.

What will you major in/study? Business/Economics or Law

Why did you choose Yale? “The reason I chose Yale was because it offered me an opportunity that most schools can’t. Not only will I be playing lacrosse for a highly competitive DI school, but at the same time I will also be receiving one of the best educations in the country. It’s also in a great location for me and my family. It’s far enough away where I won’t still feel like I’m at home while at the same time its close enough for my parents to be able to come up to watch me play or for me to go home and visit them on a weekend.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for the season? “I think our team is going to be very competitive this year. We have a great group of guys who have been playing together for a long time along with an amazing coaching staff. With that being said, the tough part about playing in division A in Suffolk County is that every team you play is also going to be very competitive. There are no pushovers, so you have to make sure that every game you play at a high level. I think its going to be a very exciting year with a lot of close games, but I think we’ll be very successful.”
