The National Scholastic Club Lacrosse Association (NSCLA) announced the details of the inaugural “Young Guns Shootout.”
The event will take place July 28‐29, at the state of the art Soccerplex in Germantown, Md.
The “Young Guns Shootout” will feature Rising Junior (2014) and Rising Sophomore (2015) teams from each of the NSCLA clubs competing in a 2‐day championship format. The event is an opportunity for coaches and scouts to get an up close look at an extremely talented group of 2014’s and 2015’s from elite club programs across North America.
The Young Guns Shootout will be the final summer tournament for most NSCLA teams, and an opportunity to finish the year on a high note. Expectations for the event are extremely high as all teams will attend the Young Guns Shootout having practiced and competed the entire summer together on their respective NSCLA club teams. The NSCLA is encouraging all coaches and scouts to attend the Young Guns Shootout as we expect the annual event to become one of the premier recruiting events for Rising Juniors and Rising Sophomores.
The Maryland SoccerPlex is a 24‐field state of the art complex that is home to a number of soccer associations including the MLS, and NCAA. The fields are organized in clusters of 4‐5 fields with parking and a comfort station for each cluster. All games will be conveniently played at one location, with ample parking available.
The NSCLA is a 501‐C3 organization, which was formed in 2010 as an alliance of the top teaching/recruiting oriented lacrosse clubs in North America. Currently the membership includes: LI Express, LB3 (PA), HEADstrong (PA), Edge Elite (Canada), CNY Roadhawks, New Hampshire Tomahawks, Progression Lacrosse (Ct. Hurricanes), Patriot Lacrosse, Leading Edge, Madlax, Baltimore Lacrosse Club (Crabs), Maryland Roughriders, Carolina Select, True Lacrosse, Laxachusetts, West Coast Starz, and Denver Elite.
