The Liberty Shootout has become one of the most popular youth festivals in the Mid-Atlantic region, drawing teams Greater Philadelphia, Central PA, the Lehigh Valley, New Jersey and neighboring hotbeds within a few hours’ drive. Liberty is a day tournament, with U-9 and U-13 teams playing on Saturday and U-11 and U-15 teams playing on Sunday. Teams can register to play in either A or B brackets, though all U-9 teams play in one bracket on smaller-sized fields (7 v 7), often generating the most noise. Teams will play at least 3 games in diverse pools within their respective age groups. The competition is strong at each level, rules are designed to ensure games remain competitive; pool winners advance in a playoff format.

Additionally, teams in each age group will be recognized for sportsmanship based largely on sportsmanship scorecards kept by certified officials and site marshals after each game, taking into account the spirit of the game and conduct on both sides of the field, including spectators. You can visit the Tournament Information page in the first instance for additional details regarding age groups, relevant dates, tournament philosophy (Honor the Game!) and general parameters.
