Men’s recruit: Hofstra gets commitment from Hereford (MD) junior goalie Cunningham

Hereford junior goalie Conor Cunningham has committed to play Divison I lacrosse at Hofstra University.

Major lacrosse honors: 2011 All-County, MSCLA Honorable mention, Freestate Top 22 Juniors Team, 2010 Maryland State Champion, 2011 Maryland State Champions, 2011 Baltimore Kickoff All-Star team

Academic Honors: National Honor Society, Honor Roll

What will you major in/study? Either Engineering or Finance

Why did you choose Hofstra? “I chose Hofstra because I felt it was the best fit both athletically and academically for me. The urban feeling of the campus was great and the athletic facilities were amazing. The coaches were also extremely friendly and I cant wait to play for them.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for the season? “Hereford’s 2012 roster is looking great. We have a lot of of returning players from all grades and didn’t lose too many key player to graduation. I think that as long as we play up to our” potential we have a chance to continue our run as State Champions.”
