Syracuse senior attackman Tommy Palasek (Rocky Point) was picked in the fourth round (28th pick) Friday by the hometown Long Island Lizards in the 2012 Major League Lacrosse (MLL) Collegiate Draft held at the Downtown Marriott during the US Lacrosse National Convention in Philadelphia.
Palasek came to Syracuse last year after spending two seasons at Johns Hopkins. He played in all 17 games for the Orange in 2011 with eight starts. SU’s third-leading scorer (35 points), Palasek tied for the team lead with 18 assists.
Cornell attackman Rob Pannell (Smithtown West) was the top pick, going No. 1 overall to Long Island.
