2012

Defense

Major Lacrosse Honors: Honorable Mention All County, Hot Beds All Star, Rising Junior Long Island Showcase, Cornell Camp All Star, Member of 2010 NYS Class C Championship Team

Academic Honors: Member of Honor Roll, Member of The National Society of High School Scholars

Intended Major:
“I plan to major in either Government or Political Science.”

Why did you choose college:
“I chose Connecticut College because of its academic and athletic reputation. Connecticut College is a member of the NESCAC conference and has consistently competed in the Division III tournament the last couple of years. It is a great academic school and provided the perfect balance of a strong curriculum with small class sizes. The opportunity to play competitive lacrosse and receive a great education were the main reasons that I chose Connecticut College. I also felt very comfortable with Coach Cornell and liked his future vision for the program.”

HS Outlook for 2012 season: “Phillips Exeter finished last season with a 18-2 record, with their only losses coming to Deerfield and Avon Old Farms. Being that I am a postgraduate student, I am new to the team but can definitely feel the excitement about the coming season. We return our entire defense and have many key offensive players returning. We also have a great group of postgraduate lacrosse players, all of whom are just as excited as I am for the season. The team has been working hard all offseason, whether it’s lifting in the weight room or running on the track. Our goal is to take our season game by game, never overlooking any games or opponents. Although we have a very rigorous schedule it is important to take each game individually in order to better prepare for each opponent. Hopefully our team’s hard work will be rewarded with another successful season in which we will accomplish our goal of being among New England’s finest teams.”
