Islip senior midfielder/attackman Jeremy Koch has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Pace University.

Jeremy Koch log:

Jeremy Koch

High school: Islip High School

Graduation year: 2012

Position: Midfield/Attack

College choice: Pace University

Club affiliation: South Shore Seals

Major lacrosse honors: 3 year varsity, 2 year starter

What will you major in/study: Business, Marketing

Why did you choose school: “I chose this school because I believe I will get the best opportunity lacrosse and academically. I visited pace over the summer and I loved it, the campus is beautiful. I thought this would be the perfect place for me, so I went with it.”

Outlook for your high school team: “We lost 3 of our 4 starting defensemen, we lost 2 midfielders and 1 attackman. Our competition this year is going to be difficult. There are underclassmen stepping up and filling requirements needed to be successful. We are hoping to get into the playoffs and be an all around great team.”

Other comments: “I would like to thank my parents for all of the support that they gave me throughout my life, always being there for me and spending all that money for camps and travel teams. To my brother, you’ve been a big inspiration in my life and I couldn’t ask for anyone better. I would also like to thank my high school coaches, Coach Scheidel, Coach Mullins, and Coach Aiello, as well as my travel coach, Coach Catalanotti for pushing me and helping me through out my high school career.”
