Lindenhurst senior attackman Kyle Cropsey has committed to play Division II lacrosse at Adelphi University.

Kyle Cropsey log:

Kyle Cropsey

High School: Lindenhurst High School

Graduation Year: 2012

Position: Attack

College Choice: Adelphi University

Club Affiliation: Long Island Stampede & South Shore Seals

Major lacrosse honors: 3 year varsity starter

Academic honors: “Two time Presidential Community Service Award, HOBY Leadership Award, Suffolk Zone Award, two time Town of Babylon Community Service Award.’

What will you major in/study?: Special Education, English

Why did you choose Adelphi? “At Adelphi I have the opportunity to play at an extremely competitive level of lacrosse. Once I took a tour of the campus I immediately knew that I wanted to attend Adelphi.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for next year? “This year we will be playing the best teams in Division I high school lacrosse. We have a lot of underclassman that seem to be stepping up to fill in the spots of the players that graduated last year. After pulling a first round upset in the playoffs last May against Bayshore we are looking to get back into the playoffs and get some more wins.”

Additional comments: “I would like to thank my parents for driving me all over the east coast for tournaments (to be eventually seen by Adelphi at a Hofstra tournament here on Long Island!) and for coming to my games and never missing one. I would also like to thank my high school coaches (Tom) McCandless, Connell and Pupke and my travel coaches Catalanotti and Caliendo. My coaches have taught me so much about life, leadership and lacrosse.”
