Men’s recruit: Oceanside senior goalie Failla commits to U of Tampa

Oceanside senior goalie Andrew Failla has committed to play Division II lacrosse at the University of Tampa.

Major lacrosse honors: All-Conference, Blue Chip 225 – elite division selection, Peak 200, Rising Junior/Senior Showcase of Long Island, Hotbeds, Oceanside JV MVP(as Freshman)

What will you major in/study: Pre-Med

Why did you choose Tampa? “The University of Tampa is an excellent academic school with beautiful weather all year. The lacrosse program is on the rise and I believe it will be a top team during my career.”

Outlook for your high school team? “We lost a few elite starting seniors so many people do not give us a chance. We do have a bunch of really good underclassman coming up that nobody knows about yet. I believe we are going to surprise people this year and be competing for our conference title.”
