Women’s recruit: Farmingdale senior attack Kolodny commits to Rutgers

Farmingdale senior attack Kim Kolodny has committed to play Division I lacrosse for Rutgers University.

Graduation year: 2012

Position: Attack

College choice: Rutgers University

Club affiliation: Long Island Wave Lacrosse Club

Major lacrosse honors, camps and showcases: 2 time NYS Class A Champions 2009 & 2010, 2 time Long Island Class A Champions, 3 time Nassau County Class A Champions, 2011 All County, Club National Championship All Tournament Team 2010, 2011 Women’s Division National Tournament Team.

What will you major in/study: Kinesiology/Education

Why did you choose Rutgers? “I chose Rutgers because it was a great fit for me and they will provide me with the best opportunities for my future both academically and athletically.”

Outlook for your high school team? “Our team goals for this season are to potentially win another State Championship. In order for that to happen, we need to rebuild our Attack and work as hard as we can to win our Division, Counties, LI Championships and get back on the bus to Cortland.”
