North Babylon High School senior defender Kelsey Hart has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at The University of Florida.

Major lacrosse honors: All League, All Division, All County, Long Island National Schoolgirls 09, 10, 11, All Galaxy Team 10.
Academic honors: President of Class, National Junior Honor Society, High Honor Roll, Science Achievement Award.
What will you major in/study? Undecided
Why did you choose The University of Florida? “I feel that Florida is a great fit both academically and athletically. I’m really looking forward to competing at the highest level of lacrosse and hopefully bringing home a National Championship.”
What is your HS team’s outlook for next year? “Lacrosse is a very young program in North Babylon, but our team will go out on the field and give 110 percent like we do every season.”
Additional comments: “ I want to thank my Yellow Jackets Coaches, Coach Rose and Alexis Curcio. I also want to thank my parents for helping and supporting me with my decision, also for sitting in traffic for me every summer on the jersey turnpike to compete in tournaments. A special thanks to Coach Mandee O’Leary for giving me the opportunity to come and be a part of the Gators!”
