Men’s commitment: Salisbury School (CT) post-grad Jones (Walt Whitman) chooses Duke

Midfielder Myles Jones, a post-graduate at Salisbury School (CT) and a graduate of Walt Whitman, has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Duke University.

College Choice: Duke

Major Lacrosse Honors: Empire State Gold medalist, Under Armour All American, Two-time Honorable Mention All-American, Three-time All County, Four-time All-League, Three-time All-Tristate, Inside Lacrosse #6 Junior and #10 Senior

Academic Honors: National Spanish Honor Society, New York State Scholar Athlete

Major: Pre-Law

Reason for choosing Duke: “It has a great atmosphere and the coaches are very welcoming. Besides, the school has prestigious academics and connections to the outside profession world. Coach (John) Danowski, (Ron) Caputo and (Chris) Gabrielli are all great and energetic guys who fit my kind of personality and their style of lacrosse fits my game.”

Team Outlook: “We have a very strong schedule this year but our our team is loaded with talent. We have a ton of Division 1 commits and a very senior driven team. We should contend for a New England Championship.”
