Girls’ commitment: St. Anthony senior attack Nicolia chooses Harvard

St. Anthony senior attack Alexis Nicolia has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Harvard University and begin the admissions process.

Position: Attack

College Choice: Harvard University

Club Affiliation: Long Island Express

Major lacrosse honors: “We won the Catholic School League.”

Academic honors: National Honor Society, St. Bonaventure Awards.

What will you major in/study?  “I am thinking about Mathematics.”

Why did you choose Harvard? “I fell in love with every aspect of the school as soon as I visited. Also, the coaches are the nicest coaches I talked to.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for next year? “Since last year we were ranked No. 3in the nation; we are really hoping to hit the No. 1 spot.”

Additional comments: “I really want to thank my parents and siblings for literally traveling to everything lacrosse related and supporting me through everything.”

Note – Student-athletes applying to Ivy League schools must complete the admissions process
