Friends Academy rising senior attackman Harrison DellaFera has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Villanova University.
DellaFera, a member of the National Society of High School Scholars, plans to major in Business. He also considered Cornell, Navy, Rutgers, Bucknell, and Brown.
“I thought Coach (Michael) Corrado, (and assistants Simon) Connor, and (Andy) German were really welcoming and played a big role in my decision,” said DellaFera.
DelleFera was impressed with the academics and successful lacrosse program at Villanova. This year the Wildcats are 8-3 and are ranked No. 11 by the USILA.
“There are many reasons why I chose Villanova; I was looking for a school where I’d be happy, and where I was surrounded by great people,” said DellaFera. “Villanova has great academics, great lacrosse, and a great community.”
DellaFera is a member of For The Love of The Game and earned All-Nassau County Honorable Mention in 2011. He also made the Long Island Showcase squad.
